In trials in 1966-7, a stand of Bahia grass Pensacola was given 82 kg N, 66 kg P2O5 and 42 kg K2O/ha in early Apr. of both years and cut each time it reached a height of (a) 15 or (b) 30 cm. DM yields were higher from (b) than from (a). In digestibility trials with rabbits, mean DCP and TDN contents were slightly lower in (a), while cumulative yields of DCP and TDN were higher with (b).
