Nitrate-N content was studied in cocksfoot, Italian ryegrass and hybrid sorgo grown in the field at several rates of applied N, and in Bahia grass and Bermuda grass grown in controlled environment at 15, 20 and 30 degrees C. Nitrate-N increased to a greater extent with increasing rates of N in the warm season than in the cool season.
