Abstract
4 GLC procedures for determining organochlorine pesticides in milk (M), modified milk (MM) and skim-milk (SM) were studied using 2% C1F-1 on Chromo-sorb G, 2% OV-17 or. Chromosorb G, 2% DEGS/0-5% phosphoric acid on Anachrom ABS and 10% DC-200 on Chromosorb G. Recoveries of individual pesticides are tabulated for MM (average 82.8-101.0%) and SM (77.6-95.7). Average values for pesticide residues in M, MM and SM, respectively, on a fat basis (ppm) were: alpha -BHC, 0.85, 0.24 and 0.36; beta -BHC, 1.57, 028 and 0. 38; gamma -BHC, 0.38, 0.08 and 0.03; 6-BHC, 0.10, 0.04 and 0.02; total BHC, 2.51, 0.64 and 0.86; p, p'-DDE, 0.26, 0.40 and 0.36; p, p'-DDD, 0.23, 0.16 and 0.42; and p, p'-DDT, 0.53, 0.36 and 0.55.
