Studies on the cell wall constituents of the forage. 2. The influence of the cell wall structure and other nutritive factors on the digestibility of the cell wall carbohydrates

Bulletin of National Institute of Animal Industry 23, 89-94

The inaccessibility of hexosan and pentosan by the method of acid hydrolysis, the estimation of a-cellulose contents in cell wall carbohydrates, the measurements of apparent digestibility of the cell wall carbohydrates in vivo and in vitro, and the estimation of lignin and silica in cell wall constituents were studied with materials such as hay, silage and straw.
