Effects of seasonal change in botanical and chemical compositions of herbage and of changes in the intensity of grazing on the diet was studied in sheep with oesophageal fistulae. A pasture of phalaris, annual grasses and subterranean clover 6 years old was set-stocked at 4 sheep per acre from June 1960 to March 1961.
