Studies on the effect of different stages of harvest on the fibre yield and quality of sunnhemp (Crotalaria juncea L.)

In trials during 4 years, sunn hemp harvested at the pre-flowering, 50%-flowering, small-pod, late-pod and fully-ripe stages gave average yields of 4.5, 4.7, 4.3 and 3.3 hkg fibre/ha; fibre quality was best when harvested at the 50%-flowering stage.
