Studies on the light and humidity reactions of Trypodendron lineatum (Oliv.) (Col., Scolytidae)

In laboratory tests, T. lineatum from Pine and Spruce logs near Helsinki during the brood-establishment period were strongly photonegative at 100% r.h., but became photopositive in very dry conditions. They were hygropositive, sensitive to desiccation, and generally more sensitive than barkbeetles.
