Studies on the mouse mammary tumour agent (MTA). II. Cytochemistry of aminopeptidase in normal mammary gland of C57BL, spontaneous and virus-induced mammary tumours in RIII and C57BL mouse strains, respectively, and in cell lines producing the mammary tumour virus

Acta histochem 38: 1, 181-88

Microscopic examination of normal mammary epithelial cells of C57BL mice and of virus-induced and spontaneous mammary adenocarcinoma of C57BL and RIII mice, after staining for aminopeptidase, indicated that in normal mammary cells the enzyme granules are large and form aggregates sometimes localized on 1 side of the mucleus, while in mammary tumour cells the granules are smaller, more numerous and are scattered in the cytoplasm.
