The Interaction between cotton and other crops growing together. 2. Effect of interplanting onion plants in cotton rows and nitrogenous fertilizers on the yield of cotton and onion plants

The Interaction between cotton and other crops growing together. 2. Effect of interplanting onion plants in cotton rows and nitrogenous fertilizers on the yield of cotton and onion plants

Ann. Agric. Sci. Univ. A'in Shams 1967 10(2): 267-279

Cotton grown alone produced higher yields than cotton grown with interplanted onions at spacings of 40-60 cm. Cotton grown with onions spaced at 80 cm and supplied with 200 kg/faddan Ca(NO3)2outyielded cotton grown alone and similarly supplied with N. Intercropping did not affect ginning outturns.
