A Dakar strain of Culex pipiens fatigans was infected with Wuchereria bancrofti by feeding on an infected local inhabitant. First-stage larvae were found in the thoracic muscles of 3 of 5 female mosquitoes examined on the 11th day, and stage 3 A larvae were recovered on day 16. Stage 3B larvae were found on day 18 in the mouth-parts and appeared to be infective by day 21.
