Abstract
For parts 1 and 2 see Abst. 8335, Vol. 41. 3. Thirty-five male Jersey calves about 4 days old were given milk substitute twice daily, at 10% of liveweight, for 5 weeks. Alternate calves were offered chopped dried grass H3 or ground, pelleted dried grass P3 to appetite and those given the pellets also got chopped dried grass to provide 10% of total solid feed to prevent digestive disorders. Weaning was during week 6.
