The dynamics of the host-parasite relationship. V. Evidence for immunological exhaustion in sheep experimentally infected with Haemonchus contortus

The dynamics of the host-parasite relationship. V. Evidence for immunological exhaustion in sheep experimentally infected with Haemonchus contortus

Parasitology 56(4): 665-677

The response of sheep given 6 sensitizing infections, each of 3, 000 infective larvae, of Haemonchus contortus at fortnightly intervals to a challenge infection of 3, 000 infective larvae was studied.
