The effect of bulb storage temperature on the number of seed stalks and seed yield of several improved and local onion varieties

The greatest number of seed-bearing shoots from one bulb was produced by the local varieties Ostrowska, Topolska and Drazgowska after storing the bulbs at a temperature 8-12%, the lowest by the varieties Koda and Wolska. The highest seed yield was consistently given by Kamierska, Wolska, Ropczycka, Drazgowska, Szczebrze-szynska and Wolska-Warzawska.
