For part 7 see Abst. 1293, Vol. 34. 8. Four Ayrshire bull calves, between 8 and 34 days of age, with duodenal and ileal re-entrant cannulae were given a spray-dried skimmed milk powder pre-heated during the drying process either at 74 degrees C for 30 min or at 77 degrees for 15 sec. In the first milk about 50% of the non-casein N had been denatured. Pyloric outflow and ileal contents were sampled at intervals for 6.5 h after feeding.
