The environmental factors on lamb growth, analytically studied with extra-seasonal lambs. III. The effects of seasons on the growth and development

The environmental factors on lamb growth, analytically studied with extra-seasonal lambs. III. The effects of seasons on the growth and development

J. Fac. Fish. Anim. Husb. Hiroshima Univ, 10: 29-46

21 out-of-season Corriedale lambs were divided into 4 groups according to season of birth (early summer, summer, autumn and winter) and their growth compared with that of 8 lambs produced in spring. With the exception of autumn-born lambs, the pattern of growth was very similar in the first 3 mth. Thereafter it slowed down slightly.
