Reciprocal crossbreeding and pure breeding were carried out involving the 2 breeds, 9 gilts of each breed being used. Data are tabulated on carcass weight and composition of progeny killed at birth and at 2, 5, 6-6 1/2 and 7-71/2 mth of age. In Large White (L.W.), Landrace, Landrace L.W., and L.W. x Landrace progeny, weaning weight averaged 18.6, 20.5, 19.8 and 17.7 kg resp. and 7- to 7 1/2-mth weight 119.3, 120.6, 122.0 and 118.6 kg.
