This detailed analysis of the impact of the International Coffee Agreement on the price of coffee emphasizes the 1962-68 period, characterized by overproduction of green coffee, when huge stocks of unsold coffee piled up in the large producing countries (mainly Brazil). Part 1 examined briefly some of the reasons for the development of control schemes in the coffee market.
