The prototype motor rotocultivator and the ordinary cultivator compared in mechanized weed control and cultural operations between rows in vegetable crops

The prototype motor rotocultivator and the ordinary cultivator compared in mechanized weed control and cultural operations between rows in vegetable crops

Idia, 251, 22-5. bibl. 11

The rotocultivator is briefly described. Its performance is compared with that of an ordinary cultivator, also tractor-drawn, for 4 different crops. To maintain good weed control the rotary machine had to be used at intervals of 3-6 weeks and the ordinary cultivator at intervals of 1-3 weeks, depending on the crop and weed growth.
