Studies were made in 1963-66 in the Lublin and Kielce provinces and from 1965 in the Poznan province of Poland on Eurytoma (Bruchophagus) roddi (Guss.) to determine its distribution and effect on seed yield. Seed infestation in the respective provinces averaged 0.67, 2.03 and 0.52%. Infestation of the first crop in 1965 averaged from 1.32 to 3.97%, as compared with 0.08 to 0.24% for that of the second crop.
