The use of haploid androgenesis to shorten procedures for combining several dominant genes is referred to and the following segregation ratios from Nicotiana are noted: (1) a monohybrid segregation, 1: 1 instead of 3: 1; (2) a dihybrid segregation of two dominant genes, 1: 1: 1: 1 instead of 9: 3: 3: 1 and (3) a dihybrid segregation of two dominant genes for hypersensitivity to tobacco mosaic virus, one conferring hyper-sensitivity to all strains, the other to some, giving 2: 1: 1 instead of 12: 3: 1.
