Three species of the genus Geopetitia Chabaud (Nematoda: Spirurata) from Australian birds

3 new species of Geopetitia are described from the wall of the proventriculus of Australian birds. G. streperae n.sp. from Strepera melanoptera, is distinguished from G. pari and G. madagascariensis by the shape and size (220 and 160 micro ) of the spicules. G. chibiae n.sp. from Chibia bracteata is distinguished by the size of its eggs (38 to 40 micro x 13 to 14 micro ) and oesophagus (1.65 mm); the male: is unknown.
