The following is substantially the authors' abstract of this second part of a series . A virus isolated from Ixodes redikorzeviOlen. collected from the vole, Alticola roylei, in subarctic terrain at an altitude of 12 000 ft in the Kaghan Valley, Hazara District, Pakistan, was shown to be a hitherto undescribed viral agent with the general properties of an arbovirus and is named Hazara virus.
