For parts 1 and 2 see Abst. 3870, Vol. 39. 3. In field conditions 24 single merino lambs were allocated at birth to 4 groups fed on a high plane throughout, high then low, low then high or low throughout, representing unrestricted growth during the first year; unrestricted for 6 months then restricted for 6 months; restricted growth for 6 months followed by unrestricted for 6 months and restricted growth for the first year, respectively.
