Maize Golden Cross Bantam was grown in tanks of Yolo loam at 10 or 13% moisture (about 2.0 and 0.3 bars tension) maintained at 13, 21 or 27 degrees C root temperature. Transpiration and evapotranspiration were influenced more by soil temperature than by soil moisture.
