Reports successful experiments in lifting seedlings of Pinus sylvestis, Picea abies, and Larix decidua (2-4 years old) in autumn, and storing them in sealed polythene bags in cellars, sheds etc. at temperatures as constant as possible and not > 10 degrees C. Planting out in May gave up to 98% success.
