Abstract
An examination of the fine structure of Anacystis nidulans, a blue-green alga, has revealed an association between the electron-dense polyphosphate granules and the cyanophycin granules sometimes referred to as lamellasomes. It is possible that the deposition of phosphate occurred within the cyanophycin granule.
