The effect of bacteriostasis in vitro of Se-enriched herbal medicine compound prescription to E. coli and Salmonella, which are the main pathogenesis strain of newborn pig diarrhoea, was studied with the method of plat double dilution in vitro bacteriostasis experiment. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of compound prescriptions I, II and III to E. coli was 0.04, 0.02 and 0.04 g/ml, and to Salmonella was 0.04, 0.02 and 0.02 mg/ml, respectively.
