Disease incidences of columnaris and myxobacteriosis in fish

Veterinary World 5(11): 349-352

ISSN/ISBN: 0972-8988

This study was conducted to determine the incidence of Flavobacterium columnare and Myxobacteria in 2 species of catfish (Clarias batrachus and Heteropneustes fossilis) from selected sampling sites (Nanak Sagar, Sarda Reservoir and Nakatia River) for 2 years (January 2001 to September 2002). The fish (n=6291) were examined for external lesions or for being diseased.
