Distribution of Reynoutria japonica (Polygonaceae) and establishment of Larix kaempferi in avalanche disturbance areas of the subalpine zone, Mt. Fuji

Distribution of Reynoutria japonica (Polygonaceae) and establishment of Larix kaempferi in avalanche disturbance areas of the subalpine zone, Mt. Fuji

Journal of the Japanese Forest Society 89(3): 183-189

We studied relationship of spatial distribution between patches of Reynoutria japonica Houtt (Polygonaceae) and Larix kaempferi seedlings in the subalpine area of Mt. Fuji in order to examine how the R. japonica patch functioned as a nurse plant for the establishment of L. kaempferi.
