Effect of Pseudomonas fluorescens isolates on Rhizoctonia solani Kuhn the causal agent of sheath blight on rice

In this research, the antifungal effects of some antagonistic bacteria were investigated against Rhizoctonia solani, the causal agent of rice sheath blight, collected from infected rice fields in Rasht, Lahijan, Foman, Talesh and Astara, Guilan, Iran. Of 288 bacterial isolates cultured from rhizosphere of infected rice plants, 8 G-Ve strains were considered as antagonists demonstrated by dual culture method.
