Effect of magnesium on different tomato varieties in Tista Meander Floodplain Soil of Rangpur District in Bangladesh

The effect of Mg levels on different tomato cultivars in Tista Meander Floodplain Soil of Rangpur district in Bangladesh was investigated during the rabi seasons of 2000-01 and 2001-02. There were 12 treatment combinations, comprising 4 levels of Mg (0, 10, 20 and 30 kg/ha) and 3 cultivars (BARI Tomato-2, 3 and 4). A blanket dose of 150, 45, 90, 30, 2 and 1.5 kg of N, P, K, S, Zn and B/ha, respectively, with 5 t CD/ha was applied.
