Effect of nitrogen fertilization on accumulation of dry matter and nutrient uptake of garlic

Field studies were conducted in China using the local cultivar Jinxiangbaipisuan to evaluate the accumulation of dry matter and nutrient uptake of garlic with 6 treatments of N fertilizer application. The results showed that garlic N, P and K uptakes were 8.5, 1.4 and 5.2 kg, respectively, from the soil when the yield was 1000 kg. It took 180 days from planting to bulbil differentiation, in which the accumulation of dry matter and uptake of N, P and K daily were less.
