Field studies were conducted in Iran, in 2003, to survey the harvesting time and cutting height on grain yield of rice Hashemi ratoon. The treatments comprised: 23 August, 3 September and 13 September harvesting dates; and ground level, 10, 20, 30 and 40 cm cutting heights. The grain yield in the first harvesting was higher than the other dates due to the higher number of tillers, fertilized tillers per hill, number of panicles per square metre and filled spikelet percentage.
