Genetic divergence in cardamom (Elettaria cardamomum Maton)

Genetic divergence in cardamom (Elettaria cardamomum Maton)

Journal of Plantation Crops 34(3): 149-151

Ninety cardamom (Elettaria cardamomum Maton) accessions were evaluated at Myladumpara (Kerala) by subjecting to D2 statistic to assess the genetic diversity available in the accessions. The D2 analysis showed wide diversity for growth and yield attributes among the accessions and they grouped into eight clusters. Intercluster distance values also showed wide genetic divergence among accessions.
