Influence of major constituents in rhizome of Curcuma longa against bacterial disease and on larval and economic traits in silkworm, Bombyx mori L

Influence of major constituents in rhizome of Curcuma longa against bacterial disease and on larval and economic traits in silkworm, Bombyx mori L

Journal of Experimental Zoology India 10(2): 497-500

Many plants contain a variety of constituents. The influence of these Chemical constituents present in stem of C. longa has been tested against flacherie disease at high and low dose levels. The turmeric is known to have secondary metabolites which inhibit the growth and multiplication of pathogens at low dose level, besides enhancing the cocoon yield and indirectly the silk production.
