Propagation of Ma Chu bamboo (Dendrocalamus latiflorus) and Lu Chu bamboo (Bambusa oIdhamii Munro.) by culm cutting

Propagation of Ma Chu bamboo (Dendrocalamus latiflorus) and Lu Chu bamboo (Bambusa oIdhamii Munro.) by culm cutting

Proceedings of the 45th Kasetsart University Annual Conference, Bangkok, Thailand, 30 January 2 February 2007 Subject: Plants: 502-509

The effects of culm age (1, 2 and 3 years old) and node position (node 3rd-4th, 7-8th and 11-12th above the ground) of Dendrocalamus latiflorus and Bambusa oldhamii on their production of new plants, rooting abilities and survival percentage were studied during November 2004-December 2005 at Kanchanaburi Research Station, Kanchanaburi province, Thailand. The experiments were used in a 3x3 factorial in CRD with 3 replications. All of data were observed at 45 and 75 days after cutting.
