Soil erosion properties of dry red soil under different land use types-a case study in Xiaojiang River Basin, Yunnan

The soil erosion in dry red soil of Xiaojiang River Basin in Yunnan was studied under different land use types (bare sloping land, sloping cultivated land, and shrub and grass land) under artificial rainfall conditions, and the soil water content was determined by TRASE 6050X1 TDR. The highest capacity of controlling soil and water loss was recorded in the shrub and grass land, followed by sloping cultivated land, and the lowest in the bare sloping land.
