Utilization of sugarcane moth borer parasite Cotesia flavipes (Cameron) (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) to control sugarcane moth borers

Utilization of sugarcane moth borer parasite Cotesia flavipes (Cameron) (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) to control sugarcane moth borers

Proceedings of the 45th Kasetsart University Annual Conference, Bangkok, Thailand, 30 January 2 February 2007 Subject: Plants: 189-193

Investigation on biological control of sugarcane moth borers (Sesamia inferens) was conducted in Nakhon Pathom, Suphan Buri and Kanchanaburi provinces. More than 180 000 adults of C. flavipes were produced monthly at National Biological Control Research Centre (NBCRC) Central Regional Centre (CRC) Kamphaeng Saen, Nakhon Pathom. About 300 adults of C. flavipes were released per rai every month during March to September 2003-04.
