Reciprocal grafting was used to study the effect of root and shoot genotype on the phosphorus (P uptake rate and other morphological and physiological attributes of white clover). The genotype of the scion significantly effected relative growth rate, absolute growth rate, shoot dry weight, root dry weight, leaf area, leaflet width P uptake per plant. The genotype of the rootstock affected only transpiration rate significantly.
