Fossil Lycopsidales from the Late Devonian Xihu Formation and the Wutong Formation in Xiaoshan and Cangxing, Zhejiang, China

Zhejiang Dizhi = Geology of Zhejiang 15(2): 15-23

6 genera and 9 species (including 1 new genera and 3 new species) of Lycopsidales collected from the Late Devonian Xihu Formation and Wutong Formation at Hushan (Xiaoshan City) and Changxing County, Zhejiang Province are described. The collection includes Spinolepidodendron hangzhouense gen. et sp. nov.; Sublepidodendron xiaoshanense sp. nov.; Sublepidodendron sp. (sp. nov.); Eolepidodendron hushanense sp. nov.; Eolepidodendron cf. wusihense (Sze) We et Zhao; Leptopholoeum rhombicum; Lepidodendropsis sp.; and Korrina sp. The Xihu Formation consists of quartz-conglomerate, pebbly quartzose sandstone, quartzose sandstone, siltpelite, etc. The greyish-purple quartzose sandstone interpolated with thin siltpelite, pelitic siltstone and siltstone, etc., were deposited in the lake-basin.
