Abstract
From a combination of geologic-field researches in the central part of Nepsko-Botuobinskiy anteclise, Yereminsko-Chonskiy giant oil accumulation was for the first time distinguished, the reservoirs of which is the Obrazhen carbonate horizon of Vendian age. Accumulation is confined to the large lithological trap genetically associated with organogenic massif formed under common facial conditions and undergoing similar postsedimentation processes. These conditions predetermined the intrapool distribution of high capacity reservoirs.
