Carbon, oxygen and hydrogen stable isotopes fractionation in atmospheric precipitation and Lake Baikal surface water

Carbon, oxygen and hydrogen stable isotopes fractionation in atmospheric precipitation and Lake Baikal surface water

Meteorologiya i Gidrologiya 1998(7): 60-68

The 1978-1996 experimental data on carbon (C-12 and C-13), oxygen (O-16 and O-18), and hydrogen (H, D) isotopes in precipitation, in river waters of the Baikal basin, and in the lake water are analyzed and generalized. The results are compared with published data on delta C-13 isotopes in major components of the environment. The regression relationship between the isotope composition of oxygen and climatic and geographic parameters of the Baikal region is given.
