Characteristics of primary geochemical zoning in copper-iron-gold polymetallic deposits of southeastern Hubei area and ore-prospecting significance of the zonality pattern

Based on the researches conducted by previous workers, this paper has tentatively summarized and generalized characteristics of primary geochemical zoning is copper-iron-gold polymetallic deposits of southeastern Hubei area and established the assemblages of major ore deposit types in this area and an integrated pattern of geochemical zoning. A discussion is given on the practical significance of element zoning of single-layer and multilayer orebodies within typical ore deposits of the area and the axial zonality pattern in the prognosis of deep blind orebodies. The indication significance of characteristic indicator elements in the ore deposits is pointed out, and the criteria for finding blind deposits are presented.
