Comprehensive quantitative analysis of multi-source information for ore prognosis in the Lanping Basin, Yunnan, China

Several favorable ore-formation factors, including linear structures and circular structures in remote sensing, geological anomalies, geophysical exploration, and geochemical exploration were used as statistical variables for the quantitative analysis of multi-source information used in ore prognosis in the Lanping Basin. Combined with available data and using the quantitative advantages of remote sensing, geologic anomalies, geophysics and geochemistry, this paper analyzes in detail their ore-forming favorability, calculates their scores contributing to ore formation, and performs comprehensive quantitative analysis of multi-source information. A 1:200,000 small-scale synthetic ore prediction is mapped, and six favorable ore-prospecting areas, such as Jinding, are delineated.
