Diagenesis and mineralization of porphyry tin deposits in Guangdong and Hunan

, : Diagenesis and mineralization of porphyry tin deposits in Guangdong and Hunan. Guilin Yejin Dizhi Xueyuan Xuebao = Journal of Guilin College of Geology 12(3): 242-252

The Yenshanian porphyries-bearing tin deposit in Guangdong and Hunan occur within three districts with different geological characteristics and in two different geotectonic settings. They belong to two genetic types as a result Pacific Ocean plate subduction into the Asia continent with different effects. These porphyries have later evolution history and may be both a small part of the granite body bearing the tin deposit and subvolcanic rocks. They have paragenesis relation with the explosion breccia in some places occurring both in upwarped and sag districts and always controlled by the fracture near the great fault. In general, porphyry tin deposits are pneumato-hypothermal ones and their alterations of mineralization are topaz-quartz greisenization. The materials of wallrock may affect the mineralogical compositions of the tin orebody and the alteration zone. The genetic connection between the porphyry and the tin deposit is direct or indirect.
