Discusses the stratigraphic value of some foraminifera from Valanginian-Albian rocks of northwest Germany and the Speeton clay of Yorkshire, England, and correlates the Speeton beds with broad biostratigraphic subdivisions in the lower Cretaceous of northwest Germany. Tabulated data on ranges are included.
