At least five episodes of peak-mantle segregation, at 2800-2900 Ma (Jequie event), 2100-2200 Ma (Trans-Amazoniano event), 2000-1900 Ma (Uatuma event), 1300-1400 Ma (Rondoniano event) and 900-950 Ma (Brasiliano event), have been active inside the Brazilian territory. These episodes are linked with periods of granites and granitic metamorphic rocks crystallization, and with granite cooling/emplacement.
