Main features of the geologic structure and Quaternary stratigraphy in the region of the lower Pilica river, central Poland

Main features of the geologic structure and Quaternary stratigraphy in the region of the lower Pilica river, central Poland

Acta Geologica Polonica 16(3): 249-259

A resume is given of papers presented in this issue of Acta Geologica Polonica on the stratigraphy and structure of Quaternary formations in the lower Pilica river area. Here Cracovian (Mindel) and Central Polish (Riss) deposits are represented; deposits of the Radomka and Warta stades of the Central Polish glaciation have been differentiated. Warta eskers, kames, and terminal moraines are common.
