New early Miocene Zapodidae (Rodentia, Mammalia) from the Aral Formation of the Altynshokysu locality (North Aral region)

Three new primitive species of the Dipodoidea are described from the Aral Formation of the Altynshokysu locality (Lower Miocene, Western Kazakhstan): Plesiosminthus tereskentensis sp. nov., Parasminthus debruijni sp. nov., and Bohlinosminthus cubitalus gen. et sp. nov. (Zapodidae). Their phylogenetic relationships and stratigraphic and paleozoogeographic significance are considered.
