Peculiarities of point pollution sources effect on sea water quality in Black Sea coastal zone

Peculiarities of point pollution sources effect on sea water quality in Black Sea coastal zone

Dopovidi Natsional'noyi Akademiyi Nauk Ukrayini Matematika, Prirodoznavstvo, Tekhnichni Nauki

Based on the cluster analysis, the pollution levels in various areas within the Black Sea zone of Ukraine are evaluated. The analysis of point source pollution effects is exemplified by the characteristics of sea water in the Odessa area which, as regards the pollution levels, is the second after the Sevastopol one. Specific features of the formation of pollution zones caused by point sources are considered for the most common synoptic situations.
